When gunslinger Chet Atmore rode into Spring Water Ranch, he hadn't realized that he was riding into a wealth of expectations. Young Neil Jordan sees him as some kind of hero. The ranch foreman hopes he'll be the man who stands up the their land-hungry neighbor. And the new owner, lovely Melody Jordan, wants to hire him as a cowboy--and take him for a husband. That's a tall order for a drifter like Chet.
