The Enchanted Loom

An historical novel rich in superstition and demonology, the riddle of Rupkund. Fascinating and perplexing archaeological mystery based on the discovery in 1942 of three hundred human skeletal remains found 16,000 feet up in the Himalayan District of Garhwal, where the author was Deputy Commissioner from 1941-1945. Superstitious locals believe those who see these bones will die. This belief, and the forbidding aspect of the site, ensured it was not disturbed for centuries. It has (finally) yielded a chilling tale.
