The archaeology of the Old Stone Age of Southern Africa is of major importance to our understanding of human adaptation and evolution over the last two million years. This volume considers the history of archaeological discovery in this region then goes on to provide a review and analyses of key collections in the British Museum showing their relevance to modern research. The volume also lists all the African collections curated by The British Museum and other museums in the UK.
