Fiber-Reinforced Composites in Clinical Dentistry

Four researchers in prosthodontics and operative dentistry at the University of Connecticut report their findings from a decade of investigation that has largely overcome the primary reasons why the material, widely successfully elsewhere, had found little application in dentistry. They have primarily focused on developing pre-impregnation technology to solve the problems of low fiber content, insufficient fiber wetting, and the difficulty of manipulating free fibers.
