At last—a high-quality full-color boxed set of Krampus postcards. Each of the twenty-four numbered collectible postcards features a dazzling full-color scene of Krampus and is printed on 4 x 8 inch sturdy card stock. In the early Christmas folklore of Europe, Krampus was St. Nikolaus' dark servant—a hairy, horned, supernatural beast whose pointed ears and long, slithering tongue gave misbehavers the creeps! Whereas St. Nickolaus would reward children who'd been good all year with small gifts and treats, those who had behaved badly were reprimanded by Krampus! This set includes misbehaving adults too. All images are culled from vintage, pre-WWI Krampus postcards found in Monte Beauchamp's two Krampus books, "Krampus, the Devil of Christmas" (2010), and "The Devil in Design: the Krampus Postcards" (2004), which started the Krampus craze that is sweeping America. Images from Beauchamp's books have been featured on "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" and "Supernatural."
