FIRST EDITION. Hardback book without a dust jacket, as issued. Barclay Sheaks, author, associate professor of art, Virginia Wesleyan College. 1974 Davis Publication, Inc., Worcester, Massachusetts. Printed in the USA. Has a round pictorial of a beach scene on the front cover. Consulting editors: George F. Horn and Sarita R. Rainey. Contains black and white illustrations. Signed on the last page of the book by the previous owner and artist, Billie F. Corder - not the author of this book. Total 135 pages. Also, has a few color illustrations included in the book. There is a personalized inscription from the author to the previous owner/artist, dated June, 1975. The front board shows light, general discoloration to the white board, mainly due to the age of the book. The back shows light rubbing of the cover, corners show light rubbing, but not bad. There are no other markings in the book, other than the signatures and inscription. The spine is tight and straight, pages clean. This is a very good book to assist and teach drawing and painting the natural environment. *4BC6
