Not so with this work by Colin A Ronan. Ronan integregrates the science of Arabic, Chinese, Western and Indian (to name a few) cultures into a smooth account. Readers are able to logically follow the development of scientific ideas throughout the ages. More importantly, Ronan has cross-referenced important sections within the text so that the reader can quickly find relevant information.If you are a historian or science, or someone who just has a passion for history, this work is a useful reference guide that also makes for interesting reading.
