Assembler Language for the IBM System 370: A Modular Approach

This text concentrates on the basic introduction to assembler language from the structured programming point of view and is written for students who need to learn to write assembler programs for business data processing applications. Planning the logic (pseudocode) using top-down, modular structure programming to construct high-quality, easy-to-read programs are covered and emphasis on program development process and modular programming is given. Sample programs introduce each chapter and illustrate how material can be applied to an actual data processing application. These sample programs illustrate application of program development process from start-to-finish, including developing the logic using the pseudocode, defining the input output formats, identifying the processing functions, coding the program and producing the output results.
