John L Rule, Minneapolis salesman, ventures away from his usual sales route, looking for a junkyard where he hopes to find a certain part-- the last piece to complete the rebuild of an old truck. At least that was his goal. Very quickly that changes, becoming, not a pleasant pastime fulfilled, but a struggle for his very life. John Rule has stumbled into something altogether sinister and dangerous. What follows is a nerve-wracking, roller-coaster ride of suspense and conflict between an ordinary man and some vicious, seasoned antagonists. John must summon courage and determination he had never had tested before -- just to stay alive.
