Electroceramics are among the most interesting and useful materials for electronic devices, and various other high-technology applications. This book series presents the latest research results for the electroceramics in Japan. The volume discusses dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials; semiconductive and ionically conducting materials. Special emphasis is placed in the characterization and the application of semiconducting or piezoelectric ZnO, including the fabrication procedures for bulk, thin film ceramics and single crystal. Important results are reported on lithium ionic conductors and its batteries, grain boundary phenomena and the effets of various crystal and surface structures on the technologically important properties of electroceramics.
