Counseling the Gifted and Talented

In "Counseling the Gifted and Talented", the author examines both the cognitive complexity and emotional intensity of gifted children and discusses the need for modification of counseling techniques. Presented is a developmental model to enable counselors to orchestrate a program of prevention rather than remediation. Specific strategies for individual and group counseling are provided.
