Geophysics, the Earth's Interior

Designed for a one-semester course for advanced geology and geophysics majors, this text examines the main methods and results of seismology, gravity, magnetism, and heat flow in relation to the Earth's interior, and convection and its bearing on temperatures in the mantle and on geodynamics. No comparable book is available--they are either too mathematical for most students taking such a course, too non-mathematical to be useful as texts, or too limited in scope.
