More than 5,000 value changes in Russia, plus almost 2,400 in Peru. All totaled more than 14,000 value changes were recorded in the 2008 edition of Volume 5 of the Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue. As in the previous volumes, all of these changes are overwhelmingly increases. In Russia the massive number of changes cover the entire spectrum of time periods. In the classic era, the 10k brown and blue, Scott 2, leaps to $4,250 unused from $1,750 last year. The 1948 30k-1r Young Pioneers set, Scott 1284-1288, jumps to $100 unused and $29 used, from $56.50 and 19.25 respectively. Other countries with significant numbers of value changes include Palau, Philippines, Saar and Senegal.
