Systems Software and Tools for High Performance Computing Environments

This report is based on the findings of the Pasadena Workshop on Systems Software for High-Performance Computing (HPC) Environments. This is the first major work to examine all facets of the HPC software environments for massively parallel processing (MPP) systems leveraging the expertise of the major contributors to the field. This report identifies key issues related to the effective use of MPPs and teraFLOPS computers, and discusses critical problem areas confronting the effective use of HPC systems.
