The Thunderstorm is a report of The Thunderstorm Project a joint project of the Air Force, Navy, National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, and Weather Bureau. Although originally published in 1949, it is still the authority when studying thunderstorms. Eight chapters describing all aspects of the thunderstorm and operations of aircraft in flight near and through them.
