The Gift

Sonja and her family suffer the trials and tribulations of the American homesteading experience as they carve out a life for themselves on the prairie. Her mother's joyful singing sustained the family on the ship from Norway, during their long trek west by covered wagon and on the homestead, but soon her mother's songs are silenced by loneliness, the greatest trial of all. Sonja finds a wayto bring back the songs and her family's hope and happiness.
