Documentation of the contemporary revival of the use of molds to produce ceramic sculpture and utilitarian objects by 77 American artists, among them Toby Buonagurio, Jack Earl, Lukman Glasgow, Lois Hennessey, Robert Hudson, Karen Massaro, Richard Notkin, Lucian Pompili, Jacquelyn Rice, John Roloff, and Richard Shaw. The catalogue includes: 1) a statement on the history of mold use and the scope and direction of the resurgence today and 2) catalogue entries for all works in the exhibition.
