TRWRR's 361 rhyming stories are similar to Dr. Seuss stories inasmuch as they have, for the most part, just one rhyme, but differ from Dr. Seuss stories in that TRWRR stories are sensible and thought-provoking. The humor differs too: although TRWRR appeals to young children, it appeals even more so to older children and discerning adults, who to varying degrees understand the nuances of the language.
For each group of rhyming words, TRWRR provides a fun, thought-provoking story. Collectively, the stories cover the entire phonetic structure of the English language, systematically doing so, beginning with stories having a "short a" in their ending (such as "Nabbed," "The Whacky Hack," "Tact,") and then the "long a," followed by twenty-two more classifications.
Besides the stories, there are hundreds of phonics charts to aid with reading, vocabulary building, and spelling.
