Freight Car Equipment of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway August 1, 1937

Handsomely done collection of photos and schematic diagrams for the C&O's freight car equipment as of August 1, 1937. The first part of the book is a reprint of an official C&O booklet showing a photo and diagram for each of the different kinds of freight cars available to shippers with modern commentary on the facing page about the particular car. The second part of the book is made up of Appendices showing (1) freight cars that C&O did not include because they were considered obsolete at the time, (2) cabooses, (3) painting and lettering, and (4) corrections and updates. Unpaginated but about 162 pages.
