Dictionary of Italian legal terms and relevant definitions

This work is a basic English dictionary of Italian legal terms and relevant definitions. The caveat is issued that we are dealing with terms from a legal system based on the civil law and are attempting to make them comprehensible to those accustomed to one derived from the common law. Consequently, legal interpretations should be avoided by the uninitiated and left to those competent to make them. Where appropriate, citations have been furnished to ensure further research, and should be examined under the latest available statutory enactments to assure accuracy, in view of possible changes and amendments. It is hoped that this dictionary may serve as a handy guide to Italian legal terms and relevant definitions and that it prove useful to those engaged in legal, commercial and international affairs. It will be beneficial to college and university students and those attending undergraduate and graduate schools of commerce and business administration and schools of law.
