The Lyon's Roar (The Lyon Saga)

First is a series of five books of historical fiction called, The Lyon Saga. Told from the point of view of a 14-year-old girl, Jessabel Archarde, this little-known time period in American history comes vividly alive. The Lyon Saga books cover the years 1587 to 1613, and deal with the Lost Colony of Roanoke Island and what may have happened to them. The Lyon's Roar, the first book, tells of the Atlantic crossing, the establishment of the colony on Roanoke Island in North Carolina, and their efforts to survive.
