It is with the encouragement of my friends that I now write about my role in typing this manuscript for the space beings. Beth, a good friend of long standing, and later Susan and Kathy offered their support in many subtle ways to encourage me and without their grammatical skill to proofread these pages and help with the typing I would solely be in trouble. Bill, a new friend, who is a writer in his own right, took time out from a busy schedule to read my manuscript and be my critic.
