Alice And The Bird Lady

Alice's school year becomes more interesting with the arrival of the Island "Bird Lady," Miss Elizabeth Dickens. Like many children after her, Alice gains an appreciation for nature and bird study from Miss Dickens' patient instruction. Based on the recollections of the author's grandmother, the story recounts a series of events that celebrate the cycles of life on Block Island over eighty years ago.
