This work is aimed at dispelling the notion that the Bible is a chauvinistic/sexist book and is also aimed at challenging the belief that the Bible adds to the oppression that women experience to some degree in almost every society of the world. Concerns that are explored include but are not limited to roles in marriage, women as preachers, teachers, pastors and deacons, women in the workplace, domestic violence against women, rape and the systematic rape of women in war zones, the pressure to be beautiful, polygamy, submission, women and divorce, single women, infertility, and much more.
