History of the Pentecostal Revival in Chile

The famous first-hand story by the founder of the Pentecostal work in Chile, available now for the first time in English translation. American missionary Willis Collins Hoover arrived in Chile in 1889. By the time revival erupted in his Methodist Episcopal congregation in Valparaiso in 1909, he had been described as "the most successful missionary in Chile" by A. B. Simpson. The extraordinary outpouring of the Holy Spirit led to explosive growth and the formation of an indigenous Pentecostal church which has grown to become one of the largest Protestant groups in Chile. W. C. Hoover published his account of these tumultuous events in 1930 in Spanish. Hoover's grandson, Mario Hoover, provides the first English translation of that work, with added historical material and a personal memoir. 12 pages of historical photographs.
