Zogby InternationalÂ’s interviewers talked with 3800 Arabs from eight countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, and Morocco to find the answers.
The study discovered that, like people everywhere, Arabs want their families to be secure and solid, healthy and prosperous. They were asked questions such as:
What matters most in life?
What values do you teach your children?
How important are political issues?
Are you better off now than 4 years ago?
Will your children be better off or worse off than you?
How do you define yourself?
How do you feel about other countries?
What do you want the rest of the world to know about your country?
What should the US do to improve its relations with the Arab world?
The answers are compiled in this 104 page book written by Dr. James J. Zogby, PhD in an attractive format that is easy to read and comprehend. Dr. Zogby is the founder and President of the Arab American Institute (AAI), a Washington DC-based organization that serves as the political and policy research arm of the Arab American community.
Research was conducted under the direction of Zogby International, a leader in the field of public opinion research around the world since 1984, and internationally recognized for its accuracy. John Zogby is the firmÂ’s founder and CEO.
The project was commissioned by the Arab Thought Foundation, a private, independent non-government, non-sectarian, non-profit organization established in 2001 and headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon.
