Open Mic Jacksonville: Poetry

Open Mic Jacksonville, Vol. I - Poetry is an anthology of poetry that was created out of the desire to suport literacy programs in the Greater Jacksonville, Florida area. Caryn Suarez, author of Living Crazy Like Fly, conceived the idea to give local poets public exposure, while contributing a portion of the proceeds to benefit literacy efforts. Fifty-four poets contributed their talents to the book. This is a collection that should be on everyone's coffee table, for it demonstrates the spirit of people helping others through their writing. The Literacy Council of Northeast Florida benefits from every copy sold, which means that every person in its literacy programs is the real beneficiary.
