The Spirit of Chatsworth Mansion

Tim Ross has moved a lot in his fourteen years. As he is about to enter ninth grade, Tim must move again, this time to Saratoga Springs, New York. The house his parents have rented, sight unseen, is the former home of Victorian author Charles Chatsworth. Chatsworth Mansion turns out to be a monstrosity, right out of a horror movie, with a reputation to match. From past experience, Tim knows that being the new kid in town is tough, especially if you are short and brainy. But in Saratoga, he is more than just the new kid: he is the freak who lives in the freak house. Bored and lonely, Tim becomes obsessed with finding the key to the attic. He does not know what he will find up there, but he feels certain it will make his life more exciting. He is right.
