Las Vegas has always been known for its sin, sex and sunshine; god knows the women are vibrant, willing and tanned to perfection. But there is one more word of the S caliber alphabetical letter that it has been noted for in recent years. It's penchant for secrecy. It is said that within its limits, the city of Las Vegas holds almost as many secrets as Washington D.C.s three letter acronyms, i.e. FBI, CIA, IRS, and ATF combined and they are as hard to get to. If you don't believe me try to get any detailed information out of the mayor's office, or the County clerk of courts office, or information from the gaming commission. Only certain privileged reporters and lawyers can get any of the sweet, nectar from those places. But those places are not the only places in Nevada where secrecy is paramount. The most secret place in the United States is situated just a hundred miles from Las Vegas, and it is off limits to all of us. It is a place so far from the main stream the only pictures of it comes from a high flying satellite. Area 51 is an area so secret that not even the president of the United States is briefed on its existence or of its use. It is a ghostly place of flying UFOs, little dead grey men from Mars, secret air craft, and clandestine operations. Most of what is written about the place is from the author s imagination and his or hers ability to read between the lines. That s exactly how this author came up with the topography, buildings and roads in this story. Area 51 is a novel of, danger, daring and suspense with a twist at the end.
