Surviving Hurricanes

Hurricanes are a metaphor for the worst that life can throw at us. We are threatened by a variety of evils over which we have no control: natural disaster, illness, financial reversal, accidents, crime, family dusfunction, and the loss of loved ones. This book is a sort of hurricane survival kit. Just as we need basic essentials to ride out a storm, we also need spiritual resources in order to survive the hurricanes of life. St. Paul in his description of the Armor of God, and Jesus in the Lord's Prayer provide the guidance and protection we need. Prayers and questions for reflection and discussion after each chapter are supplied for practical application.
