CAP Exam Sample Questions and Answers: Review for the (ISC)2 CAP Certification Exam

The September 2013 FISMA Authorization Process Guide: A Review for the (ISC)2® CAP® Certification Exam was recently republished to allow individuals from all government communities to gain an understanding of the new government FISMA requirements published in NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-37 (Rev 1), SP800-30 (Rev 1), SP800-53 (Rev 4), SP800-137, and SP800-144. Additionally, that guide was written to support educational classes and security professionals with the objective of providing individuals with the knowledge required to prepare for the new CAP examinations, based on the CAP Candidate Information Bulletin (CIB) dated September 2013. This publication supplements the above guide by providing CAP candidates with three 125-question sample exams to help CAP candidates test their knowledge and to prepare for the exam. The purpose for providing this in the format of 125-questions, also allows the candidates to test their knowledge, develop their testing strategies, and evaluate how long it takes them to complete the examination. Answers to the questions are provided with explanations for "best answers" and references to the locating sources where additional information can be located on the subject. The author of this guide is a certified (ISC)2 Instructor, CISSP-ISSEP and CAP certified, and has taught CAP certification review courses for over eight years for various training institutions. Additionally he has been a instructor of IT security courses for 25 years and supported over 300 government and commercial authorization efforts.
