Most of us today bury our energy and personal power by ignoring our emotions, not listening to our bodies, and acting like we are human doers instead of human beings. Mindlessness living. The results can be depression, broken relationships, unhealthy habits and disease. The problem is that our own energy is being suffocated by our own misperceptions. We all have the inner power to create the life we're looking for. Meditative Movements helps us tap into that power so we are able to live in harmonious relationships, be free from medications, dieting and smoking, and be truly engaged and enthusiastic in life. This book helps us find that gift by first, exploring who you are through meditation so you can give breathe to your life purpose, values and dreams. Then you can release resistance and empower your mind and body through structured movements with affirmations that reveal your wholeness and perfection. Lastly you embrace each moment with gratitude and knowing. The Meditative Movements program exists because Ellie believes in the power of the body, mind and spirit to lead us through life. A life full of joy, love and abundance. When you tap your own personal power you can live life as an adventurer with inner peace and being content in each present moment. Life is for us. Ellie is living proof of the power in spiritually-based movement. She was a divorced 23 year old mother with three children under the age of five. She was depressed and had little energy or enjoyment in her life. One time she fell asleep on the couch and when she awoke she couldn't find her 3 year old son. Her other two children were watching television. The panic that she felt was overwhelming. The thoughts of what she would have to say to the police was mind boggling. Fortunately, she found him underneath his bed. She was feeling so alone and nearly incapable of dealing with life. Her unhealthy habits caused her to feel disconnected from herself and others. She was a heavy smoker, who weighed only 100 pounds, but still thought she was fat. Starting her day with a cigarette and cup of coffee, she would wonder how she was going to get through the day. Moreover, did she even want to get through the day? When she entered the workforce after being a stay at home mom, she was known as Ellie from the deli. She was broke: minimum wage was $5.30 and she didn't feel like she deserved to be paid that much. She remembers telling her boss that she didn't want to remarry just for money and her boss put her hand on her shoulder and said, "Ellie everybody has more money than you do." That was then, this is now. Today, in her late 50's, she is experiencing life beyond her wildest dreams. She has a healthy, wholesome relationship with herself. Feeling worthwhile and capable of living life are exemplified by her personal and business adventures. Being remarried is offering new insights into trusting and loving herself and her husband. She is learning how to tell him what she needs without drama. She also feels like a college student because they have a downtown condo which she has to herself about two evenings a week. Her relationship with her children and five grand boys is precious: she feels supported and appreciated. As a non smoker, she has been able to naturally maintain a healthy weight, with no dieting and no medications. She is no longer running marathons, and enjoys the Meditative Movements that keep her healthy, strong and peaceful.
