On the Winds of Destiny

This inspirational story is told through Betty’s eyes as she learns her soon-to-be husband almost dies and upon a near miraculous recovery sets out to sail around the world in his 65‘ ketch. He holds her to her promise to make the journey with him, even though she is less than enthusiastic about it. With seven people on board, and Betty being the only woman, "On the Winds of Destiny" is her story of their amazing 3-year journey around the world. Betty’s will is tested as she and their crew survive 20-foot seas or freighters that nearly capsize Destiny, squalls and hurricane force winds, the long days at sea, and Betty’s never ending battle with seasickness. "On the Winds of Destiny" is a work of passion, determination, human spirit and man’s desire to conquer his fears and Mother Nature.
