Through the words of an old Marine "Gunny", we meet this diverse group of young Americans who fought against those "twenty to one" odds. There is a cowboy and an Indian; A Northern Black and a Southern White; Two rival gang members from New York City; A Chicano farmer and an a prize fighter from Boston: A tattooed, oft "busted" veteran and a man called Condo because he's bigger than a house. The list goes on: A pampered congressman's son; An Italian American Sergeant from Brooklyn; A Tennessee mountaineer; A reserve Lieutenant; a former DI and more including their girl fiends and wives.
We go through training with the squad and we participate with them in some hilarious antics in Tijuana. We are also there when they battle the North Koreans near Seoul and the Chinese in the mountains of North Korea. It is here as they fight against an overwhelming enemy in sub-zero temperatures and perform so spectacularly that they go into Marine legend as The Mad Dogs
