Sears, Roebuck Book of Barns: A Reprint of the 1919 Catalog

Sears, Roebuck sold farm buildings in their mail order catalogs from 1911-1929. Precut farm buildings were first offered by Sears in the 1918 Book of Barns. The highest number of barns and other farm buildings was offered in 1918-1919. 42 buildings and numerous accessories are featured in this complete catalog reprint. The preface by Hunter and Wolicki details the history of mail order farm structures from five different companies, lists names/models of Sears barns and the years they were marketed, summarizes the contents of Sears mail order home catalogs, and includes a bibliography on mail order buildings.
