The Seventh Day: Jehovah Resigns

A sarcastic pseudo-fictional account of the fall of Monotheism, this book describes the aftermath of the sudden resignation of the Supreme Leader of Being, Inc. (better known as the Universe). Numerous contenders emerge and interview for the vacancy. The ultimate judges, Reason and Necessity, incarnate into two ill-prepared humans and will choose the next President of Existence based on the strength of her/his offering to the human race. What will it be? A sweeping reform of quantum mechanics or a drastic change of human biology - or, perhaps, a further simplification of the unruly and ungrateful humans who, after all, pushed their Savior off the pedestal and deserve to be punished. The competition begins with Prometheus and ends with a surprise twist. (Let's just say that Liberalism wins but at a dear price.)
