Mary, the Girl who said Yes

When Mary said yes, she didn't know how her answer would change her life. She didn't know her son would be born in a stable for animals, or that she would have to flee a murderous king who sought to kill her child. Mary's story is one of danger and excitement, love, sorrow and uncertainty. She had to be strong to face the trials that would come. Delving into her life as seen in the Gospels show a spirited and courageous woman, a fitting mother for Jesus, the man of God who changed history. To see the real Mary, we will go back to her time, when, like today, there was much going on and plenty to do. A time different than ours, a dangerous time, but filled with the same kind of people: the wise and the foolish, the wealthy and the poor, the humble and the proud. We will see the challenges she faced and the uncertainties that were part of her life as they are of ours. We will see a strong young woman, who with trust in God, did what she had to do.
