When land disputes at Lake Tahoe between developers and the Washo Indians turn deadly, Native American Elsie "Beanie" MacBean and her basset hound, Cruiser, find themselves up to their ears in a homicide investigation. It's up to Beanie and Cruiser to collar the killer and clear a tribal elder's name.
