Dalton Trumbo had a screenwriting career that spanned five decades. He won Academy Awards for THE BRAVE ONE and ROMAN HOLIDAY. His novel, Johnny Got his Gun won a National Book award in 1939. A Colorado native, he refused to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1947.
