Enchantments are true magic. Every wizard uses enchantments. The power of the wizard and the power of the enchantment are channeled through the wand and burst out to reality. A wizard can accomplish anything with an enchantment, from mundane household chores to incredible feats of magic. As any wizard knows it is not enough to speak the words of the enchantment, there is a special technique for casting enchantments. Some enchantments are more forgiving than others but every enchantment requires the proper form in order to work. For thousands of years all swynaliblias (wizard-speak for spellbooks ) were kept hidden from humans. Wizards feared, without cause, that humans may be able to cast enchantments. Wizards knew this power must be kept out of the hands of humans who, as we all know, are easily corrupted by power magical or not. This concern was finally laid to rest in 1967 with the completion of the two-hundred year study started by the ISW (International Society of Wandmakers) and completed by the League of Wizards which proved conclusively that non-wizards cannot, under any circumstances, cast enchantments. Now, over forty years later, this book (which is used as the introduction to enchantments at every Wizard Academy) has been released in human channels as a Principles of Wizardry title.
