Rachel and the Lion

Seven-year-old Rachel lives in a small African town with no running water and few cars. She has a large family and her parents work hard to create a good life, amid poverty and illness. When her mother dies from malaria, Rachel's friendship with a lion gives her strength and courage to live with her grief.
