A Place To Go

Ms. Agnes has been an angel in disguise for many women, for many years. She's opened her home and her heart for battered women and their children so they could simply have a place to go and get their lives together. After of all her years of giving unconditionally, the women have come together to give her something, A Place To Go. Collectively, they've purchased an apartment building equipped with child care, counseling, job placement, and living quarters to house battered women and their children. They come together, from past and present, to thank Ms. Agnes and share their stories. A Place To Go is an anthology of fiction stories, but they are very real. Every nine seconds, a woman is abused by her husband/boyfriend and 42% of murdered women are killed by their husband/boyfriend. The first step in stopping the vicious cycle of abuse is for the abused/battered person to realize they are being abused and take a step toward changing it.
