Description

Would you like to experience love without effort or attachment?

Would you like to experience life apart from the experience you are creating?

Would you like to be who you are independent of how others are around you?

Would you like to keep abuse from shaping who you are and what you become?

Would you like to know what is true when any act of faith affirms your belief?

Our social structure rewards us for how we think and what we do but gives little if any support for who and what we are. Most of us live our lives without ourselves, motivated by achievement, social position and survival - having low esteem for our own personal value. The Self guides us through the societal snares that reinforce themselves and bind us up in reaction. It supports us in experiencing our autonomous self - free of the conditioning of culture. The turning point for David Hoefer was meeting his metaphysical teacher. He began observing the social structure - how our attitudes continue from a primitive past, a great anthill of deeds and beliefs reinforcing themselves - automating our reactions to life. He quit VA Drug/Alcohol counseling, suspended psychology studies, and began working as a handyman. His teacher advised, "As a freelancer you are on the social structure periphery - better able to observe its influence and origins - less insulated from your attitudes - life more readily teaches you who you are and what you are about." He holds a BA in Psychology from Arizona State, a diploma from California Lutheran Bible School, and has independently studied metaphysics, epistemology, eastern and new-age religion. He says, "Awareness, wisdom and maturity are best supported in leaderless sharing groups in which every participant becomes the teacher/guru, and every sharing relates to what is arising now."
