Here, animals are cleaned, massaged, bedazzled, and dyed to match the outfits of their masters. Cianna is blind and can detect hundreds of odors both fair and foul. This makes her popular with the royal families because she invents medicinal shampoos, flea treatments, pet foods, and toothpastes to keep their pets as healthy as they are clean. 

Meet the princess! Twelve-year-old Polly owns the finest dresses, the fastest horses, lives in the largest castle, and has the prettiest friends in the seven kingdoms. When one of the dancers in her Spring Festival performance becomes ill, Polly befriends Cianna to take her place.

When blind Cianna is thrown into the glamorous lifestyle of the royals, she can't see what all the fuss is about. As they prepare for the Spring Dance their choices lead to disaster for one girl and triumph for the other, and both girls' lives are changed forever.
