The Marlin and the Mermaid Investigate the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is an educational children’s picture book that addresses the problems associated with marine debris. The story takes the reader on an informative voyage from the Chesapeake Bay, our nation’s largest estuary; along the East Coast of the United States; past the Gulf of Mexico; across the Caribbean Sea; through the Panama Canal; and into “The Great Pacific Garbage Patch”, located between Hawaii and California.
