Progress in Environment Suits

This is the first book to deal with active clothing systems that put heat into you or take it away. It deals with the latest progress to bring space suits to Earth in a more usable form for the rest of us. This is the Environment Suit. The book discusses why clothing is inadequate, how much thermal energy a human being needs to be comfortable, approaches used to engineer an environment suit, and the applications best-suited to environment suits. The author, Rupert Hart, built his first environment suit and used it to go to work on a cold day. His company Envirosuit.com builds them today. Rupert Hart holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechancial Engineering, a Master's in Robotics, and an MBA. Together with his colleagues, who are professors at Stanford University, he is ideally placed to write this seminal work.
