Rick Ingalsbe was an average fan of movie-making, who decided to scratch-build filming models as a hobby. When an article about his work was featured on a model-making website, he embarked on an adventure that would lead to his work being displayed in museums, and ultimately on the big screen.
When he was asked to lend a model he made to the production of the film 5-25-77, Rick made the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He ended up working on the film in multiple roles, eventually becoming the associate producer. Described as a "one-man studio" by the director, Rick achieved it all without any prior movie-making experience. Through this extraordinary and inspiring adventure, he was able to fulfill lifelong dreams.
