Cascade Caper

June 1963, three men escape from Alcatraz, disappearing into the frigid waters of the San Francisco Bay, never to be seen again. The FBI declares these escape prisoners dead after a massive manhunt. November 1971, a commercial 727 aircraft is hijacked. A man, presumed to be the hijacker, jumps from the rear air-stairs escaping somewhere over southwest Washington State, with two hundred thousand dollars, never to be found. Also declared dead. Present day, an introverted high school senior, with a tendency to read first and talk later, suddenly finds himself presented with information that may break an infamous cold case wide open! Following clues from a mysterious person he begins to realize that not everyone is what they seem, and not all those involved want him to solve the mystery of the Cascade Caper.
