Covering Ordinary Wood Doors with Tin.--Where it is desirable to have wood doors covered with tin for openings not requiring the Underwriters' label, one of the large sheet metal concerns in Chicago allows 10 cents per square foot per side for covering wood doors. Actual Prices Received on Tin Clad Doors.---On a building erected during 1914 in Chicago, there were 7 tin clad sliding Underwriters' fire doors required, each door being 8 by 7 feet 2 inches. All doors to be equipped with approved and labeled hardware, made in union shop and labeled by the Underwriters' laboratories. Doors equipped complete with weight boxes to protect the counterweights.
