I can find no authority by which these fuller terminations are excluded. In Tfll bahusreyasi, the feminine PTHT freyasi retains its feminine character (nadltva) throughout (Siddh.-Kaum. vol. 1. p. 116); and the same is distinctly maintained for the compound TWfc pradhih, possessed of distinguished intellect, if used as a masculine (Siddh.-Kaum. vol. 1. p. 119). rfirf1! atistrishu In the masculine final £ is shortened to t, and the compound declined like «kf=IJ iaciA, except in the Nom. Acc.Voc. and Gen. Loc. Dual. In the Acc. Sing, and Plur. optional forms are admitted. (Siddh.-Kaum. vol. I. p. 134.) The feminine may be the same as the masculine, except in the Instr. Sing, and Acc. Plur., but it may likewise be declined like srf in the Dat. Abl. Gen. Loc. Sing. The neuter has the usual optional forms. Bases in i ararf T u, Masculine, Feminine, Neuter. J 230. There are masculine, feminine, and neuter bases in i and «. They are of frequent occurrence, and should be carefully committed to memory. Adjectives in are declined like substantives, only that the masculine may optionally be substituted for the neuter in all cases except the Nom. and Acc. Sing.; Nom. Acc. and Voc. Dual and Plur. Ex. jfa: buchih, masc. bright; Sjfa: suchify, fern.; sjfa hichi, neut. The same applies to adjectives in T u, except that they may form their feminine either without any change, or by adding i.
